The DYFL Season will be operating under age and weight based rules. Player team assignments will be based  primarily on the following criteria per the Northern Illinois Football Conference rules.  The DYFL may take additional factors into consideration if needed.  The season typically runs from August until October.  Flag Football has a shortened season.  Some teams may participate in option post-season events at the discretion of the DYFL Board of Directors. We will only have FLAG FOOTBALL THIS 2024 SEASON 

FLAG FOOTBALL: Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays 5:30-7pm (games typically take place on Thursdays)

FLAG FOOTBALL:  K - 5th Grade (starts Aug. 5th)

The  DYFL forms teams based on the grade your cheerleader will be in during the current season.  Team assignments are based  primarily on  criteria per the Illinois Cheerleading Association rules.  The DYFL may take additional factors into consideration if needed. (REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2024 IS CLOSED!)

We split the teams in the following ways:  

Grades K-2 : FLAG  Cheer only - Princess Gala 

Practice M/T/Th 5:30-7pm (starting Aug. 5th)

Grades 3-5th:  Competition and Side Line Cheer

Practice M/T/Th 5:30-7:30pm (starting Aug. 5th)

Grades 6-8th:  Competition & Cheering for Middle School Football Teams Side Line Cheer 

Practice M/T/Th 5:30-7:30pm (starting Aug. 5th)
